Cabinet clears ₹759 crore Amaravati Sangamam at Sakhamuru — library, auditorium, governance institute

The Andhra Pradesh Cabinet chaired by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on 3 September 2026 gave administrative sanction of ₹759 crore for Amaravati Sangamam at Sakhamuru. The package covers a State Public Library, an auditorium, and a Global Institute of Good Governance, to be executed on Item Rate / EPC Mode-2 including GST.

The funding split is locked in three lines: ₹310 crore from DPL, ₹277 crore from APHRDI, and ₹171 crore from APCRDA. Those three streams add to the ₹759 crore sanction and tell readers which capital-region and training institutions are paying for the complex.

Land pooling for the Inner Ring Road moved in the same Cabinet. The locked acreage is 6,212.50 acres — 974 acres in Kanteuru, Guntur, and 5,238 acres in Tadikonda mandal — with a 100-metre buffer on the Errupalem–Namburu broad-gauge line and grid-road expansion, described as proceeding at farmers’ request. Capital-region road geometry and farmer pooling are therefore tied to the same day’s development docket as the Sangamam buildings.

Agriculture policy rode along. The Cabinet advanced a draft Andhra Pradesh Poultry Development Policy for 2025-29 / 2026-29 with incentives totalling ₹657 crore. The locked package includes ₹120 crore over three years as an Animal Husbandry budget interest subsidy plus environmentally controlled sheds, and mandatory farm registration. Separate administrative items included 21 regular posts for an Additional District Judge court at Mangalagiri and bituminous pavements for Type B–E land-pooling scheme roads.

What is not locked is a construction start date for Sakhamuru, a contractor name, or a finished poultry-policy gazette text. This cutting does not invent them.
