School Education orders inquiry into Kurnool SGT-Telugu sports-quota Mega DSC posting at Vallur

School Education orders inquiry into Kurnool SGT-Telugu sports-quota Mega DSC posting at Vallur

The Department of School Education has opened an inquiry into the appointment of Ediga Prabhakar as a Secondary Grade Teacher (SGT-Telugu) under the Sports Quota in Mega DSC-2025 in Kurnool district. The posting under scrutiny is at MPPS (New), Vallur, in Kowthalam mandal. The 5 September 2026 locked record is an administrative inquiry — not a finished finding of guilt, not a charge sheet, and not a cancellation order.

Director of School Education Thameem Ansariya said the department took suo motu cognisance of media reports alleging irregularities in Mr Prabhakar’s selection and subsequent posting. After those reports, the Kurnool District Educational Officer initiated an inquiry and sought all relevant records and verification documents on the candidate’s selection and appointment. Those records were being examined as part of a detailed scrutiny, she said.

Further action, the Director said, would be taken by the competent authority after receiving and examining the inquiry report. Any action, if warranted, would follow applicable recruitment and service rules. She reiterated that the School Education Department was committed to transparency, merit-based selection and integrity throughout the Mega DSC-2025 process, and that the inquiry aimed to establish facts and ensure recruitment norms were followed.

Sports-quota appointments sit at a sensitive junction of eligibility certificates, selection lists and school postings. When a state directorate takes suo motu notice and a district educational officer pulls the file, the Investigate story is the process itself: who verified the sports credential, who signed the posting, and whether Mega DSC rules were followed at every step. A Kowthalam mandal primary school posting is a small pin on a large map, but Mega DSC-2025 is a statewide recruitment whose integrity claims are already under political attack elsewhere. A local sports-quota file that draws a director-level statement therefore belongs on the Investigate lead stack, not only on a district brief page.

This cutting does not invent the contents of the sports certificate, the federation that issued it, the marks of competing candidates, the date of every counselling round, or a concluded disciplinary order. Those are not locked. It also does not invent a link between this Vallur posting and every other sports-quota allegation circulating in opposition speeches. The only locked bridge is thematic: sports quota is contested terrain in the same recruitment season.

Kurnool district readers will watch the DEO report. Until the competent authority acts on that report, the locked facts remain the suo motu cognisance by Director Thameem Ansariya, the District Educational Officer’s record pull for Ediga Prabhakar’s SGT-Telugu sports-quota selection, the MPPS (New) Vallur posting in Kowthalam mandal, and the department’s public pledge that Mega DSC-2025 must meet recruitment and service norms. Place names stay Kurnool district and Kowthalam mandal. Readers should refuse any invented punishment or clean chit before the inquiry report lands.
