Kishan Reddy wants a sitting high-court judge on the 22A list. He alleges four lakh acres and 50 percent settlement bribes.

The Union minister put a sitting judge on the demand list. The acreage he quoted is his figure, not a revenue gazette.

On Saturday, 22 August 2026, Union minister G. Kishan Reddy, the Secunderabad MP, held a press conference at Bharatiya Janata Party headquarters and demanded that the state order a comprehensive judicial inquiry by a sitting high-court judge into inclusion of lakhs of acres of private and patta land in 22A in the prohibited-properties list under Bhu Bharati. Demand is the verb. A judicial-inquiry government order is not on this card. This desk will not invent one.

He alleged that Congress, which had promised to end alleged Dharani irregularities of the previous Bharat Rashtra Samithi government, was now engaging in even greater wrongdoing under Bhu Bharati. He claimed approximately four lakh acres in Hyderabad, Rangareddy and Medchal districts alone had been illegally added to the 22A list overnight. Approximately four lakh acres is his claim. Overnight is his word. This desk will not print a revenue-department acreage that is not on the card.

He alleged that private houses and plots with municipal permissions, taxes and decades of occupation were deliberately included though the list was intended for government and endowment lands, and that officials were demanding 50 percent shares and large bribes in the name of settlements. Fifty percent shares and large bribes are his allegations. They are not a vigilance finding on this page. He also alleged that HYDRAA followed one set of rules for the poor and another for Majlis-Congress leaders. That HYDRAA line is likewise his allegation. This desk will not invent a HYDRAA circular.

He said the seriousness could be understood from comments attributed to the high court suggesting the Army might have to be deployed to protect the property of Telangana residents. That Army line is his attribution. It is not a court order on this card. He announced that BJP legal cells would give free legal assistance to victims from mandal level to the high court. A legal-cell offer is a party announcement. It is not a court roster.

On the same presser he announced that the Centre would officially organise Hyderabad Liberation Day — Hyderabad Mukti Diwas — at Parade Grounds, Secunderabad, on 17 September, with a paramilitary parade and cultural performances by Telangana artists. He alleged previous BRS and present Congress regimes avoided official celebration out of fear of the Majlis party. Avoidance out of fear is his allegation. 17 September at Parade Grounds is the date and venue he locked.

On the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana he said the Centre bears over 70 percent of the subsidy plus procurement, transport and dealer commissions, and provides 5 kg rice free. He alleged Telangana had removed Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s name and the Government of India logo from display, showing only photographs of Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and the civil-supplies minister, and warned that if the state did not stop portraying a central scheme as its own, the Centre would consider alternative arrangements to distribute rice directly. Logo and photograph lines are his allegations. Alternative arrangements is a warning, not a notified central order on this card.

What is not here is a judicial-inquiry GO, a revenue-locked 22A acreage, a HYDRAA circular, or a court order about the Army. What is here is a Saturday BJP-headquarters demand for a sitting-judge probe, an approximately four-lakh-acre claim for three districts, alleged 50 percent settlement shares, a 17 September Liberation Day announcement, and a PMGKAY logo fight framed as his warning.

Until the state writes an inquiry order, 22A remains a political demand on this page. Until revenue writes an acreage, four lakh stays his number. The prohibited-list stamp on a house document is the public picture. The finding is not yet written.
