Secretariat solar car parking is aimed for December. The estimate is ₹26.81 crore and a claimed 16 percent bill cut.

The canopy is still a review drawing. December is the date the minister put on it.
On Saturday, 22 August 2026, Roads and Buildings Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, reviewing at the Secretariat, said the proposed shaded solar car-parking facility at the Telangana Secretariat is likely to be completed by December this year. Likely and by December this year are the locked completion words. This desk will not invent a generation-start date beyond that line. It will not invent a tender identity number.
Solar parking structures on the northern, western and southern sides, the filing said, did not affect the elevation of the Secretariat and were limited to the building’s structural level. Design had been discussed earlier in the presence of Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy: solar-panel-equipped parking in two rows on the northern side, three rows on the southern side and one row on the western side. Officials presented designs during the review. Two north, three south, one west is the row count. Elevation untouched is the design claim on the card.
The project is estimated at ₹26.81 crore. It is expected to generate around 90,000 units of electricity for the Secretariat and reduce its monthly electricity bill by about 16 percent once commissioned. ₹26.81 crore is the estimate. Around 90,000 units and about 16 percent are expected and claimed figures. Once commissioned is the condition. This desk will not treat a review promise as a meter already spinning.
The minister directed officials to accelerate Central Road and Infrastructure Fund roads, Setu Bandhan bridges and road-over-bridges and finish within deadlines. Officials said 316 works covering 3,918 km of roads, estimated ₹5,159 crore, had been sanctioned so far; some were ready to commence, a majority in final stages. Progress in 2025-26 covering 422.36 km at ₹868 crore was described as satisfactory. ₹5,159 crore and 3,918 km are the sanctioned road block. ₹868 crore and 422.36 km are the 2025-26 progress block. This desk will not collapse them.
The minister was satisfied with the Narketpally bridge under Setu Bandhan at ₹76 crore and directed officials to immediately commence Miryalaguda and Nandipahad bridge works and complete technical formalities without delay. ₹76 crore is the Narketpally figure. Miryalaguda and Nandipahad are the next bridge names on the card. A separate Saturday card named a chief engineer Vanaja for Miryalaguda-Nandipahad coordination; that name is kept as that card’s line and is not treated as locked on every figure here.
Hyderabad is the district. The Secretariat is the site. This is a ministerial review, not a commissioned generation plant. Development is the beat.
What is not here is a tender ID, a generation-start date beyond December this year, or a unit already billed against the 16 percent claim. What is here is ₹26.81 crore, around 90,000 units expected, about 16 percent bill cut claimed, two-three-one solar rows, 316 road works on 3,918 km at ₹5,159 crore, 422.36 km at ₹868 crore in 2025-26, and a ₹76 crore Narketpally bridge the minister called satisfactory.
Until December writes a commissioned canopy, the solar parking is a review promise. Until a meter turns, 16 percent is a claim. Empty government parking under a drawn canopy is the honest picture on 23 August.
