On Saturday, 22 August 2026, Roads and Buildings Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, reviewing at the Secretariat, said the proposed shaded solar car-parking facility at the Telangana Secretariat is likely to be completed by December this year. Likely and by December this year are the locked completion words. This desk will not invent a generation-start date beyond that line. It will not invent a tender identity number.

Solar parking structures on the northern, western and southern sides, the filing said, did not affect the elevation of the Secretariat and were limited to the building’s structural level. Design had been discussed earlier in the presence of Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy: solar-panel-equipped parking in two rows on the northern side, three rows on the southern side and one row on the western side. Officials presented designs during the review. The project is estimated at ₹26.81 crore. The minister directed officials to accelerate Central Road and Infrastructure Fund roads, Setu Bandhan bridges and road-over-bridges and finish within deadlines. Officials said 316 works covering 3,918 km of roads, estimated ₹5,159 crore, had been sanctioned so far; some were ready to commence, a majority in final stages.
