On Sunday, 23 August 2026, Cyberabad police took Mohammed Sajid into custody in the Anjaiah Nagar, Gachibowli illegal under-construction collapse case registered at Raidurgam police station. A contractor was also cited as an accused on that lock; the contractor’s name was not on the card. This desk will not invent it. Custody is the Sunday verb. It is not a conviction. This cutting will not retell the Saturday death count as if it were news again; those deaths were covered on the already-shipped collapse card.

The same Sunday enforcement trail runs through the municipal office. A Cyberabad Municipal Corporation Commissioner order dated 22 August 2026 placed U. Santosh Kumar, Town Planning Building Officer for Circle 50, Madhapur, under suspension with immediate effect. The stated ground is failure to stop an unauthorised Ground+6 with penthouse. Disciplinary proceedings are contemplated. Contemplated is not completed. Suspension is service action, not a criminal verdict.

CMC’s Assistant City Planner for Circle 50 asked Raidurgam police to register a criminal case against Farheen Siddiq and Md Sajid. CMC’s line on that letter is that notices had already been issued on 17 June 2026, and that construction went up without building permission and without prescribed setbacks. Notices issued is the municipal paper trail. It is not a court finding on title.

HYDRAA and CMC on Sunday began demolishing an adjacent unsafe seven-storey that lacked permissions and had been damaged by Saturday’s collapse. One desk printed Anjaneya Nagar as a place slip; other desks kept Anjaiah Nagar. This desk will keep Anjaiah Nagar as the primary place and note the slip. By Sunday evening, demolition of the collapsed illegal seven-storey was reported completed amid rain, with adjoining hostels and flats evacuated. One card named Sterling Whitefield among the evacuations. Evacuated is the safety verb. Reoccupation clearance is not on this card.

HYDRAA Commissioner A.V. Ranganath ordered a special drive. About 10 more unauthorised structures were identified in the locality. Identification and a plan are not a finished demolition list. This desk will not invent addresses or a completed count beyond that about-10 flag.
