On Sunday, 23 August 2026, the Industries and Commerce Department reported that it had initiated steps for six sector-specific industrial parks under the Government of India’s Bharat Audyogik Vikas Yojana, or BHAVYA. State-level detailed project reports, master plans and market-demand assessments are complete, official sources said. The proposals have been submitted to the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade for further action. The proposals are under appraisal and selection by the Union government under the challenge route. Challenge-route appraisal is the lock on this card. Selected-park language is not. This desk will not print a finished GoI selection that is not on this filing.

The six parks named on the Sunday card are: A.P. Space City, 1,000 acres, Tirupati district; A.P. Drone City, Kurnool, 486 acres; Tekulodu Aerospace and Defence Park, Sri Sathya Sai district, 500 acres; Makavaripalem Organic Food Park, Anakapalli district, 500 acres; Renewable Energy Manufacturing Zone, or REMZ, Prakasam district, 498 acres; and Veldurthi Mega Textile Park, Palnadu district, 500 acres. Kurnool is spelled Kurnool. The Drone City acreage is 486. Those six names and six acre counts are the public table on this cutting.

A.P. Industrial Infrastructure Corporation is the State nodal agency. Parks were identified on industrial demand, sector ecosystems, location, connectivity, utilities and investment and employment potential, the filing said. A ring-fencing framework on operations, governance and institutional responsibilities was prepared and reviewed by the National Industrial Corridor Development Corporation. The industrial parks are being notified under Section 3 of the A.P. Industrial Corridor Development Authority Act, 2017, as part of the industrial node or periphery, in accordance with Section 4 of the Act. At Tirupati Space City the government plans an integrated space-industry ecosystem, drawing on the model of SpaceX, envisaged as a hub for manufacturing, payload and satellite assembly, avionics and launch logistics. Skyroot Aerospace, whose Vikram-1 became India’s first privately developed orbital-class rocket launched from Sriharikota, is among companies set to make a major investment, the Sunday filing said. “Set to make” is the verb on that line. A signed investment quantum is not on this card. This desk will not invent a rupee capex for Skyroot or for any of the six parks.

Land acquisition for the REMZ has been fast-tracked, the card said. The zone is expected to attract manufacturers of solar photovoltaic cells, turbine blades, battery energy storage systems, electrolysers and water turbines. Expected is the register.
