The Cockroach Janta Party on Monday, 24 August 2026, announced a peaceful protest march from India Gate to the new Delhi Police Headquarters on 5 September 2026, after its National Working Committee met the same day. The outfit said the march would be led by families of deceased National Eligibility cum Entrance Test victims and victims of alleged police brutality, joined by students and young citizens. One public account links the alleged brutality to the 20 July ‘Sansad Chalo’ march. That link is the outfit’s and the desk’s restatement. It is not a court finding of brutality.

The Cockroach Janta Party alleges that the Centre has not honoured commitments made on 25 July, after which the nationwide youth agitation was withdrawn in good faith. Issues cited are withdrawal or quashing of first information reports against students and protesters, and compensation for families of deceased National Eligibility cum Entrance Test victims.
