On a Monday public filing updated 24 August 2026, Suzlon Group said it is expanding in Andhra Pradesh with new wind-power projects totalling 1,325 MW and an estimated investment of ₹10,000 crore in the Rayadurgam Assembly constituency of Anantapur district. Projects coming up at Govindawada are expected to create direct and indirect employment for around 4,000 people, according to the company. 1,325 MW, ₹10,000 crore and around 4,000 jobs are company figures. They are not a commissioned-capacity gazette on this card.

State Education, Information Technology and Electronics Minister Nara Lokesh is scheduled to inaugurate Suzlon’s new S144 blade production lines at Huliker village in Kanekal mandal of Rayadurgam constituency on 25 August 2026. That inauguration is live today. It is written here as scheduled at a 06:00 IST scrape. This desk will not print the lines as already opened unless a later desk confirms the ceremony is done.

The company said it currently has more than 1,700 MW of installed wind-power capacity in Andhra Pradesh and has set a target of developing an additional 5,000 MW of renewable-energy projects by 2030. Operations in Anantapur began in 2004. A rotor-blade manufacturing unit operates in the Ippuru area of Kuderu mandal in Uravakonda constituency. Projects have been implemented with companies including Tata Power. More than 1,700 MW is the company’s installed-Andhra figure. An additional 5,000 MW by 2030 is a company target. 2004 is the year operations in the district began, on the same account.

The Anantapur blade-manufacturing facility, the company said, accounts for about 40 per cent of Suzlon’s blade production, with annual production capacity of 1,260 MW. The company has so far attracted ₹12,000 crore in investment in the district and generated employment for around 2,200 young people. About 40 per cent, 1,260 MW, ₹12,000 crore and around 2,200 jobs are company lines about the existing district footprint. They are not the new 1,325 MW Govindawada card. This desk will not add ₹10,000 crore to ₹12,000 crore and call the sum a single notified investment.

The State government and Suzlon are jointly implementing a green-skill programme, the release said, with wind-energy learning centres at Uravakonda and Vijayawada to train 12,000 young professionals, women accounting for 25 per cent of trainees. 12,000 and 25 per cent are release figures. They are not a convocation count.
