A tall metal frame supporting the sound system collapsed during the Saturday, 22 August 2026, night pre-release event of the Yash-starrer Toxic on the Malla Reddy University campus at Dhulapally / Maisammaguda in Medchal. Spectators had climbed the structure for a better view. Petbasheerabad police registered a criminal case on Sunday, 23 August. The university management and the event organisers were booked for alleged negligence. Allegation of negligence is the Sunday verb. Conviction is not.
