YSR Congress Party president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy on Tuesday, 25 August 2026, addressed party leaders and cadres at the central office in Tadepalli and called on them to fight for every inch in the ensuing local-body elections, claiming a strong anti-incumbency current against the coalition government. Coordinators and in-charges of 175 Assembly constituencies attended. This cutting is the Tuesday meeting outcome from a party release. It is not a State Election Commission gazette. Form B is not notified.

The party-release quote on the opened public accounts is: “Though it is clear that in the two years, the coalition has failed on all fronts, we will win hands down if the elections are held in a free and fair manner, and we should ensure there is a contest for every seat, giving no scope for manipulation of any sort by TDP.” That is a party claim. It is not a poll result. Telugu Desam Party is named in the release as the target of the contest-every-seat line. This desk will not convert a party sentence into a finding that the coalition has failed, or into a finding that any seat has been manipulated.

He said any unanimous election will be taken seriously; the party will not tolerate unanimous elections; Members of the Legislative Assembly aspirants should work to ensure contest and victory; a YSR Congress Party candidate should be in the contest. Unanimous-seat intolerance is a party instruction to 175 in-charges. It is not a notified nomination. It does not write a candidate list this desk will invent.

On the preparatory side, identity cards with a QR code to cadre up to the village level will be distributed along with propaganda and other election material; meetings are to be held at district, Assembly constituency, mandal and division levels; the legal cell, media and social media are to be active; and there is to be training on the Jagan 2.0 App. QR-coded cadre identity cards and an app-training line are party-preparatory claims. They are not a Commission identity-card order.

A Monday public account was only a preview of the 11 a.m. Tuesday meeting, listing local polls, a special intensive revision and organisation as the intended subjects. This card is the Tuesday outcome. It does not reprint that preview as if it were Tuesday’s speech.

What this card will not do is write a nomination date or a polling date. Form B is not notified. The State Election Commission on Monday said no decision on the election schedule has been taken. A Tadepalli party meeting does not contradict that Monday Commission line. Yesterday’s shipped viral urban-local-body timetable remains a fake schedule on that shipped card.
