A Sunday court-directed first information report books a Vijayawada private hospital and doctors over a 2023 death — allegation and a 156(3) order, not a finding of negligence.

Satyanarayanapuram police registered a criminal case on Sunday, 23 August 2026, against doctors and a private hospital over the death of a 51-year-old woman in October 2023. The Sunday first information report followed directions of the III Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Vijayawada, under Section 156(3) of the Code of Criminal Procedure. A court-directed first information report is an allegation and an order to investigate. It is not a finding of negligence. It is not a conviction.
The incident as set out in the first information report occurred between 24 and 27 October 2023 at Svara Super Specialty Hospital — also printed Super Speciality — on BRTS Road, Satyanarayanapuram. Complainant Pantla Krishna Murthy alleged that his mother Pantla Appayamma was admitted with low blood pressure, general weakness and other problems, with a history of atrial fibrillation, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and neurological problems, and that he repeatedly asked for cardiology and pulmonology specialists. The complaint says duty doctor Dr Eleti Rahul administered intravenous fluids and said specialists were available; that a chest X-ray reportedly showed a minor lung infection; and that the family was told a cardiologist had examined the electrocardiogram and X-ray. Appayamma died of sudden cardiac arrest on 27 October 2023, as the complaint records it. After her death the son alleged some accused doctors were practising without valid registration. Those lines are the complaint. They are not a medical-board finding this desk will invent.
The accused count is not one count. One public account writes nine doctors and a private hospital. Another public account’s named list is eight doctors plus the hospital: Dr Ch. Sai Aditya, Dr Cherukur Rajeev Prasad, Dr Kasaraneni Purnachandra Rao, Dr Vikram Venkateswarlu, Dr Swathi Rosa, Dr Veeramallu Jyothi Sri, Dr Rajesh, Dr Eleti Rahul, and Svara Hospital. This desk will not invent a ninth doctor name. Nine doctors and a hospital on one account, and eight named doctors plus the hospital on another, stay labelled. They are not collapsed into one invented roster.
The same named-list account books Indian Penal Code Sections 406, 468, 471, 506, 304-A, 201, 120-B, 371 and 386 read with 149. Those sections are printed as the Indian Penal Code. This desk will not convert them into another code. Investigation is underway.
A third public account records that police registered a case against nine doctors for alleged negligence and for allegedly changing her discharge summary; that Krishna Murthy is a railway employee; that the son cremated the body; and that the court directed police to register and investigate. The discharge-summary allegation sits on that account. It is not a proved forgery. Fifty-one years, the 24–27 October window, Section 156(3) and the BRTS Road address sit on the first public account and not on that third card. This desk will not pretend every desk printed every line.
Vijayawada holds the hospital, the Satyanarayanapuram police station and the III Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate. Form B and any local-body poll date are not notified on a 2023-death first information report.
Until a charge-sheet or a trial writes findings, the public ledger is a Sunday, 23 August 2026, court-directed first information report; a 27 October 2023 sudden-cardiac-arrest death as in the complaint of Pantla Krishna Murthy over Pantla Appayamma, aged 51 on one account; an admission window of 24–27 October 2023 at Svara Super Specialty Hospital on BRTS Road; duty-doctor and specialist-ask lines kept as complaint; a practising-without-registration allegation after death; nine doctors and a hospital versus eight named doctors plus the hospital; Indian Penal Code sections as printed on the named-list account; a discharge-summary-change allegation and a railway-employee / cremation line on a third account; and no conviction. The first information report is the paper. Negligence is the allegation.
