Gotta takes 15,647 cusecs on the Vamsadhara and Thatipudi 15,111 on the Gosthani after dry months — north-coast inflows, not a statewide monsoon reversal.

Many rivers in Srikakulam and Vizianagaram were receiving significant water from rains in catchment areas on the Andhra–Odisha border on Tuesday, 25 August 2026. Rivers that had almost dried about a week ago under El Niño now had a constant flow, according to irrigation-department data on a public account from those two districts. North-coast inflows are this card. They are not a statewide monsoon reversal. A separate Tuesday deficit card puts Andhra Pradesh 51.2 per cent down, with all 28 districts deficient. This desk will not use Gotta or Thatipudi to cancel that statewide number. Two geographies.

Gotta barrage on the Vamsadhara received 15,647 cusecs and the same quantity was released for crops. Thotapalli project on the Nagavali had sufficient water with continuous inflows. The Nagavali was full at Srikakulam city, which depends on it for drinking water. Fifteen thousand six hundred and forty-seven cusecs in and out at Gotta are irrigation-department figures. Sufficient at Thotapalli is the department’s qualitative line. It is not a full-reservoir-level table this desk will invent.

Thatipudi reservoir on the Gosthani received 15,111 cusecs on Tuesday, 25 August 2026. Irrigation officials discharged 12,700 cusecs for crop areas of Gantyada, Gajapathinagaram, Jami and surrounding Vizianagaram areas. Madduvalasa reservoir in Rajam Assembly constituency received 1,342 cusecs and 710 cusecs were discharged. Fifteen thousand one hundred and eleven, 12,700, 1,342 and 710 are Tuesday irrigation numbers. They are not assigned to any Rayalaseema district. Gotta, Thotapalli, Thatipudi and Madduvalasa sit in Srikakulam and Vizianagaram geography.

Rainfall was deficit in 24 mandals in June, July and the first fortnight of August 2026. Vizianagaram Collector S. Ramsundar Reddy directed the agriculture department to meet farmers’ requirements given the water now available, and said the focus included drinking water and depleted groundwater. Twenty-four deficit mandals on the June-to-mid-August clock sit beside Tuesday’s inflows. They are not erased by a day’s cusec count. A Collector’s direction to meet farmers’ requirements is an instruction. It is not a compensation award.

What this card refuses to do is write a statewide millimetre total, a second monsoon-deficit percentage, or a Kurnool tag. These reservoirs are not moved into Kurnool. They are not used to rewrite the 51.2 per cent Directorate card. Readers who want a statewide reversal will not find it on a Srikakulam–Vizianagaram irrigation file.

Srikakulam holds Gotta, the Vamsadhara, Thotapalli, the Nagavali and the city drinking-water line. Vizianagaram holds Thatipudi on the Gosthani, the Gantyada–Gajapathinagaram–Jami discharge, Madduvalasa in Rajam, and the Collector. Form B and any poll date are not notified.

Until a later irrigation bulletin writes a new north-coast book, the public ledger is 15,647 cusecs received and released at Gotta on the Vamsadhara; sufficient water and continuous inflows at Thotapalli on the Nagavali; a full Nagavali at Srikakulam city; 15,111 cusecs into Thatipudi on Tuesday and 12,700 cusecs out toward Gantyada, Gajapathinagaram, Jami and surrounding areas; 1,342 cusecs into Madduvalasa and 710 cusecs out; 24 mandals still on a June-to-mid-August deficit clock; and a Collector line on drinking water, groundwater and farmers’ requirements. North-coast inflows after dry months. Not a statewide monsoon rewrite.
