Godavari Golden Eagles pay ₹4.3 lakh for Henrietta, and one public account’s squad lists total 74 — not another desk’s 80.

Henrietta Flavia Pereira — also printed Perera Henrietta — was the costliest player at the inaugural Women’s Andhra Premier League auction on Tuesday, 25 August 2026. Godavari Golden Eagles spent ₹4.3 lakh on the all-rounder. ₹4.3 lakh is the top bid on the Tuesday auction cards. It is not a season wage gazette.

World Cup winner N. Shree Charani — also printed Nallapu Reddy Sree Charani and Sri Charani — was roped in by Rayalaseema Zen Stars for ₹1.1 lakh. The extent of her participation remains to be seen because she is set to play for India at the Asian Games, 17–22 September, which clashes with the league window of 15–26 September. Twelve-year-old A. Shanmukha Priya was the youngest picked, Zen Stars spending ₹30,000. ₹1.1 lakh and ₹30,000 are the two named supporting bids. The Asian Games clash is a calendar overlap. It is not a withdrawal this desk will invent.

Spend totals on one public account are Amaravati e-Champions ₹14.95 lakh, the biggest spenders; Golden Eagles ₹14.80 lakh; Zen Stars and Vizag Fire Birds ₹14 lakh each. A second public account of the Andhra Cricket Association auction at Novotel, Vijayawada, says 191 women registered and 80 players were picked by Amaravati E Champions, Rayalaseema Zen Stars, Vizag Fire Birds and Godavari Golden Eagles. Seventy-four on the printed squad lists and 80 of 191 on the other account are not the same number. This desk will not print 80 as the list-total fact. Both counts stay labelled.

Women’s Andhra Premier League Governing Council chairman and former minister Sujaya Krishna Ranga Rao said the franchise system would offer financial support. Matches are at Andhra Cricket Association Stadium, Mangalagiri. Fifteen to 26 September at Mangalagiri is the window on the clash line. Purse figures from earlier preview cards are not re-litigated here as if they were Tuesday’s auction.
