Irrigation review puts 40,000 acres and ₹6,150 crore on a three-year board — and more than ₹1,000 crore still sitting in district accounts.

Irrigation and Civil Supplies Minister N. Uttam Kumar Reddy on Tuesday, 25 August 2026, reviewed irrigation projects and put a three-year land-acquisition board on the table: nearly 40,000 acres at an estimated ₹6,150 crore. More than ₹1,000 crore sits at various stages in land-acquisition offices and district accounts, awaiting disbursement. The minister said funds should reach oustees, not stay parked. Parked money is the Tuesday complaint. A disbursed-oustee list is not.

Those three numbers — nearly 40,000 acres, ₹6,150 crore over three years, more than ₹1,000 crore awaiting disbursement — sit on more than one Tuesday public account of the same review. This cutting is Tuesday’s ministerial numbers. It is not a rewrite of the already-shipped Assembly-session card on the Chief Minister’s Monday instruction to legislators. Earlier 21–22 August video conferences with different crore splits are not this Tuesday lock. This desk will not merge those earlier releases into Tuesday’s ₹6,150 crore.

One public account of a Monday review by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy said shortage of funds should not hold up any irrigation project. The same account said the government was prepared to make available about ₹6,000 crore in the current financial year for land acquisition, rehabilitation and resettlement and forest-related requirements, after earlier releases of about ₹1,056 crore as a first instalment and another ₹1,500 crore. About ₹6,000 crore this year is a current-year package on that account. ₹6,150 crore is the three-year estimate on both Tuesday cards. This desk will not merge that current-year package with the three-year board. ₹1,056 crore and ₹1,500 crore stay earlier-release figures on that account. They are not a new Tuesday voucher.

Completion windows also conflict. One Tuesday account said substantial completion of pending works within a couple of months. Another said pending land-acquisition, rehabilitation-and-resettlement and forest processes should be substantially completed within the next one to one-and-a-half months. A couple of months and one to one-and-a-half months both stay. This desk will not invent a single deadline.

One Tuesday account alone put a one-year fast-track target on the long-pending Devadula Lift Irrigation Scheme, designed to lift about 38 thousand million cubic feet of Godavari water to nearly six lakh acres across Hanamkonda, Warangal, Jangaon, Yadadri Bhongir, Suryapet, Siddipet, Medchal-Malkajgiri, Mulugu and Jayashankar Bhupalpally. Officials were told to examine storing 5 thousand million cubic feet in Baswapur Reservoir through limited additional works, with a focused Gouravelli review after a week and another comprehensive review in a week to 10 days. About 38 thousand million cubic feet, nearly six lakh acres, 5 thousand million cubic feet at Baswapur, and the two review clocks are on that account only. This desk will not attach them to the other Tuesday card.

Hyderabad’s irrigation review and video conference are the geography. The named Devadula districts are ayacut geography on one account. Form B and any civic-poll date are not notified. Seven September remains the already-shipped Assembly session. It is not an irrigation gazette.
